We proposed a new method for evaluating the deterioration of messenger wires by using terahertz waves. use time-domain spectroscopy to measure several twisted wire samples with different levels deterioration. find that each sample had distribution reflection intensity which was due wires' twist structure. show it is possible assess degradation from straight lines present in image. Furthermore, confirmed our can be applied covered resin.
